Abstract
BRAC University’s news report of the workshop held on 10 June 2023 at its School of Architecture and Design. It describes New Contextualism as a philosophy coined by Mohammad Habib Reza that took shape at the university over the course of a decade, summarises the five lectures, and describes a group exercise in which participants applied the approach to a design challenge, considering historic, cultural, social and environmental aspects of context.
